Interactive Video TLA with PeS at Bury College



Experiment title: Using Planet eStream video for Teaching, Learning and Assessment (Science)

 

Intent: To create videos with built in questions for learners to complete as a blended approach to learning.

 

Implementation:   

  • Videos to be selected that can be used as part the teaching of science topics.
  • Videos to be uploaded to PeS and edited to include interactive questions.

 

Impact:  

  • Instead of simply watching a video the understanding of each learner could be assessed periodically. Incorrect answers can loop back to the relevant part of the video clip.
  • Participation of could be monitored to encourage learners to complete the home learning activities.

 

Next Steps: 

  • Investigate the use of PeS to capture practical assessments
  • Investigate the use of PeS to create interactive videos for tutor led demonstrations of practical experiments
