Introduction to the event
I would like to welcome you to this special and timely event to celebrate the progress of our GMCG project looking at digital and blended solutions for our learners, now and in the future. With DfE funding from the College Collaboration Fund and support from GMCA, this project includes all nine of the Greater Manchester Colleges working together to address one of the major challenges of our time, as we strive to continue to provide high quality education throughout the pandemic. Colleagues have demonstrated enthusiasm and expertise, typical of the sector, to develop amazing resources, for both students and teachers which will have a lasting impact not only for the future of our Colleges, but also for the communities and businesses we serve. I firmly believe that, rather than being the end of a project, this event should be seen as the continuation of our journey to excellence in Greater Manchester harnessing the opportunities for education which new technologies can bring.
